Useful information
- don’t forget that the heel holds its shape better and we recommend sewing in the heel reinforcement
- depending on the material you use for crocheting, it is also necessary to tighten it. The Alpha and Boston Original, Katia Singapur and Alize Diva that we tested do not need to be tightened at all
- if you are crocheting for the first time, try on the shoe more often, everything can be steamed and started again
- it is better to crochet both shoes at the same time, you will minimize the differences
Yarn consumption
Yarn consumption is not always the same, it depends on its thickness and what type of shoes you want to crochet.
Summer and spring shoes – we recommend using Alize Diva yarn. Here you can crochet single or double. Use hook no. 2.
You will simply need 1 ball for a pair of shoes, which you divide into two.
You can use 2 balls for double. Divide each into 2 smaller ones = you must have 4 balls in total. If you are not sure about the division, simply buy 4 balls.
Autumn shoes – we use Boston Original or Alpha yarn. For ankle boots you will need 5 balls / pair of shoes. In case you want higher shoes, we recommend 6 balls. If you want multi-colored shoes, like our Petra type in the photo gallery, for the lower part 2 balls / pair, the middle part 1 ball / pair, the upper part 1 ball / pair. We use hook No. 2.

How to choose a size – sometimes the size also changes depending on the crochet method and the type of yarn.
For example, if you have a foot size of 38 – 39. Experience has taught us that if you crochet summer / spring shoes with Alize Diva yarn / single or double / and the crochet method is external – explained in the video instructions, I choose sole size 38, i.e. smaller. The yarn will not take up space inside the sole.
If I crochet Boston original for spring / autumn and the crochet method is internal, I choose sole size 39. Boston original yarn is thicker and takes up more space when crocheting inside.
